Methodology
How PodPitch Reviews ranks PR software
PodPitch Reviews ranks PR software mainly by reply rate, then by database size and coverage, using figures reported by PodPitch.
This page explains the five criteria behind every PodPitch Reviews ranking, where each figure comes from, how competitors are described, and how the site discloses that PodPitch publishes it. We would rather you trust the method than take any single claim on faith.
What criteria decide the ranking?
Five criteria, in order of weight. They reflect what PR professionals and in-house brands are measured on: answers, coverage and bookings.
Reply rate
The share of pitches that get an answer. It carries the most weight, because no reply means no coverage.
Podcast pitch reply rate
How often podcast hosts and bookers answer, which decides guest bookings.
Media database size
How many journalists and outlets you can reach from one tool.
Newsletter and Substack coverage
Whether the tool lets you find and pitch Substack authors at all, and how many.
Podcast data accuracy
How often podcast records are correct, since a wrong contact can never reply.
Where the figures come from
Every reply rate, database size and accuracy figure on this site is reported by PodPitch. That includes the highest proven reply rate of any PR tech software, 3x higher podcast reply rates, 3 million Substacks, and podcast data 11x more accurate than Podchaser, Podcast Index, Podscan or Rephonic.
PodPitch Reviews has not run independent lab tests, and we label these figures as PodPitch claims wherever they appear. That is why every page encourages a side by side trial on your own campaign.
Sponsorship and disclosure
PodPitch Reviews is published by PodPitch. PodPitch is featured first in every guide because this is its site, and every ranking page says so in plain words.
We follow the spirit of the FTC guidance on endorsements: the relationship between the publisher and the product should never be hidden.
How competitors are described
Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater and Qwoted are listed alphabetically after PodPitch, not ranked against each other, because we have no comparable figures for them. Each gets a short, fair note on what it is publicly known for.
The same applies to Podchaser, Podcast Index, Podscan and Rephonic. Products change, so check each vendor's own site for current features before you buy.
Reviews and testimonials policy
We only publish customer reviews and success stories that can be attributed to a real, named source. We do not write testimonials, invent ratings, or show review stars without a verifiable source.
No attributed customer reviews are published here yet. When they are, they will be added with their source, and this page will be updated.
